Enjoy Carnival on Costa Dorada

Costa Dorada is decked out this week in its best costumes to celebrate the arrival of Carnival, a magnificent festival of Roman origin, which year after year, encourages everyone to enjoy a few days full of fun, music, dance and, above all, lots of humour and joy.

During this weekend, from the 10th to 11th of February, many towns on Costa Dorada, such as Tarragona, Reus, Cambrils, Vila-seca La Pineda, Calafell and Torredembarra, join in this celebration, organising a wide variety of activities around the traditional Carnival parade.

So that you can enjoy this event in these towns, BusPlana provides you with schedules of the regular lines, which you can check on our website. Remember that you can also get around at night with our night bus to Reus on weekends and on the eve of public holidays. You should also bear in mind that, as the official airport shuttle, you can buy the official tickets online for transfers from Barcelona Airport to these locations.

Carnival arrives at PortAventura World

From Friday 9th of February until the 17th of March, PortAventura World brings you a unique experience for you to enjoy this Carnival to the fullest. To this end, it has prepared a series of shows full of magic and originality, such as the Carnival Parade, a grand parade through the Mediterrània area, which will feature acrobats, samba dancers, masked characters that will transport you to the Venice carnivals and much more entertainment for the whole family.

Another ideal option if you're visiting the park with the little ones is Bubble Carnival, in which an alchemist will create a wide variety of soap bubbles in unimaginable shapes. It will take place in Magic Temple.

Carnival of Venice also comes to PortAventura World, with the show "Aires de Carnaval", a show full of acrobatics and choreography, in Gran Teatro Imperial; as well as the magnificent musical "Viva Carnaval", which will take place in La Cantina. Dancers André and Marquinhos will also offer a dance duel, to the rhythm of samba, to make the Carnival Queen fall in love, in a show at Long Branch Saloon, in Far West.

If you are a lover of magic, don't miss the "Magic Carnival" show at Long Branch Saloon; or, if you prefer adventure, enter Temple of Fire to live an experience where you will find the protected treasure.

For the little ones, SésamoAventura also dresses up for Carnival, with the well-known characters of Epi, Blas, Elmo, Coco, Abby and Cookie Monster. You should also bear in mind that, throughout your stay at the park, you'll also find a wide variety of street performances.
