The Plaça de les Comunitats Autònomes, the Main Stage for the Festivities

The heart of Nits Daurades beats strongly in the Plaça de les Comunitats Autònomes, located on the most emblematic section of Passeig Jaume I. Every night, this space is transformed into a large open-air auditorium, hosting musical performances, dance shows and cultural performances that bring together thousands of people.

With the regular BusPlana bus routes, you can reach the many stops scattered along Passeig Jaume I, as well as Baixador-interior, next to the Plaça de les Comunitats Autònomes

Nits Daurades Programme

The Nits Daurades combine large-scale free shows, cultural activities, events for children and popular events that pay tribute to the city's roots. For several days, the capital of Costa Dorada becomes a meeting point for residents and visitors who want to experience summer in a different, participatory and festive way. Its seafront location and the quality of the events on offer make this one of the highlights of the Catalan summer calendar.

The Opening Speech and Batucada Mark the Start of the Nits Daurades

The official start of the Nits Daurades 2025 will be full of excitement and solemnity with the traditional opening speech. This year, the event will feature Miquel Sàmper Rodríguez, Minister of Business and Labour of the Generalitat de Catalunya, who will deliver the opening speech in the gardens of the Tourist Board. After the proclamation, attendees will be able to witness the eagerly awaited fireworks display to mark the beginning of the festivities.

The first night will continue with rhythm and energy thanks to the 6th Batrobada, a lively gathering of “batucada” groups, led by the Grup Atabaladors de Salou, which will parade along the seafront promenade from the Font dels Cargols to the Plaça de les Comunitats Autònomes.

Musical Offerings for All Tastes

Music is once again one of the main attractions of the Nits Daurades, with a programme of concerts designed to satisfy all tastes and generations. Every night, Salou will host top-level performances combining genres as diverse as pop, rock, classical music, tributes and the most festive sounds.

Among this year's highlights is the performance by the Salou Festival Orchestra on 3rd of August, which will offer a refined symphonic show featuring renowned international soloists. Local talent will also take centre stage in a concert that showcases the musical creativity of the municipality on the 5th of August.

The line-up is completed with concerts that appeal to both nostalgia and the energy of the present: tributes to great icons such as Hombres G, Serrat and Sabina, on the 9th and the 10th of August, respectively; a show by the electronic music group OBK and an evening dedicated to the 1980s on the 12th; and the eagerly awaited performance by Melody, one of the most popular artists in Spanish pop, on Thursday, the 14th of August.

Cultural Events

Beyond music, the Nits Daurades also offers a carefully curated selection of cultural events designed to highlight Salou's heritage, local identity and festive tradition.

One of the highlights is the parades of the town's festive elements, such as traditional dances like the Ball de Bastons and the Ball d'Espases; the Giants and ‘nanos’ of Salou; the Mulassa and the Morena de Salou, which will parade along Passeig Jaume I on Friday, the 8th of August.

Another of the most eagerly awaited events is the Night of Fire, with the Diables Maleïts i Bruixes Latemó, the Xaloc, the Morena de Salou, and other guest groups, where you can enjoy a display of fire, colours and fireworks that will fill the Salou seafront promenade with magic and rhythm on Saturday, the 9th of August. For the little ones, there will also be a Correfoc infantil, on the 7th of August.

Don't miss the Aragonese folklore show on the 8th of August, the flamenco show with the Mónica Novillo company on the 11th of August, and the performance by Los Vivancos on the 13th of August, all in the Plaça de les Comunitats Autònomes, or the sardana dances on Passeig Jaume I on the 9th of August.

Procession of the Virgin Santa Maria del Mar and Fireworks Display

One of the most emotional and traditional moments of the Nits Daurades is the procession in honour of the Virgin Santa María del Mar, patron saint of Salou, on the 15th of August, the main day of Salou's summer festival. This is a deeply rooted popular event that combines religiosity, local identity and maritime symbolism, and is usually held in the last days of the programme.

The day's programme will begin at 8 pm with a solemn mass in the Church of Santa Maria del Mar, from where the procession of the image of the Virgin Santa Maria del Mar will begin, carried on the shoulders of the members of the Salou Fishermen's Guild, who, dressed in their characteristic attire, will walk barefoot along the Passeig Miramar until they reach the Espigó del Moll.

The maritime procession will take place in the port of Salou, in an illuminated rowing boat, and will then continue by foot along the Passeig Jaume I.

The event will end with a spectacular fireworks display that will light up the sky over Salou from Llevant beach. Afterwards, the Orquesta La Privada will provide the grand finale in the Plaça de les Comunitats Autònomes to bring the festivities to a close.
