The long-awaited Sant Magí festivities are back

The festival of Sant Magí is one of the most important in Tarragona. During these dates, many traditional events are held, and taking advantage of the good weather, water becomes the highlight. Among the events that take place on these dates, there are concerts, sports competitions, theatrical performances, the miraculous water parade, "la Remullada", open-air dances, the castellers (human towers) and the Sindriada.

In 2022, the festivities of Sant Magí, the co-patron saint of the city, started on the 12th and end on the 19th of August.

A much-anticipated event for the citizens of Tarragona is the arrival of the Brufaganya water, the water of Sant Magí. In this event, the water bearers arrive in the city with carts and cavalry, more specifically at the fountain square, and once there, after the castellers make their greeting, they distribute the water in jugs.
