Mother's Day

Mother's Day is coming, a date dedicated to honour all mothers. It is celebrated on this date because it is associated with the Virgin Mary, being a month dedicated to the mother of Jesus.

It is a date on which children honour their mothers, being an ideal occasion to give gifts as a sign of esteem, or even simply to show their affection.

This tradition begins in 1965, being this month known as the month of flowers and mothers. Another more ancient origin is also given, as in the Egyptian civilisation, the goddess Isis, the "Great Mother", was honoured and worshipped. In the case of Greece, the goddess Rhea was the protagonist and in the Roman Empire, the goddess Cybele, the "Mother Goddess", was worshipped.

There is nothing like a mother, they deserve the best and for them there is nothing more special than spending the day with you. It is a great occasion to make them feel special and to focus on them.
